The Zeta Zeta chapter of Sigma Pi International would like to invite you to apply for our Sigma Pi Scholar book scholarship. When selected the winning applicant will be awarded a $250 scholarship to help pay for books. The winner will be selected based on a combination of GPA, community and school involvement, and your answers to a few short answer questions. Please be aware that rushing or pledging Sigma Pi or any fraternity is not a requirement. If you wish to apply please fill out the attached forms and email them to zetazeta@sigmapi.org. The applications will be reviewed by our scholarship committee and a winner will be determined by September 1. Everyone is encouraged to apply and if you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact our President, Matt Carney at mcarney72@ufl.edu

Wilmont Gardens Service Event

On Saturday April 2nd, a small group of brothers from the Zeta Zeta chapter of Sigma Pi worked at Wilmot Gardens at the University of Florida in order to provide a service for our local community. Wilmot Gardens is a vast garden preserve located on campus on about an acre of property run by Ms. Linda Luecking who was formally a professor at the University. At this event, brothers and fellow University of Florida students worked together on a number of different projects throughout the garden including planting trees, leveling soil, removing sod, and creating a french drain for the garden. Brothers worked together for nearly four hours on these projects in order to make the garden a nicer place for students of the University to come and spend time in this relaxing environment. This wasn’t the first time the Zeta Zeta chapter of Sigma Pi has contributed to this effort. We plan on making this a more regular part of our community affairs since it is such a good way for brothers to give back to the University.

Relay…We love it…all 18 hours of it!

Over months of preparation and fundraising…we raised $2,725 for the American Cancer Society and reached the Bronze Fundraising Club! This event is much more than a walk around a track, Relay is a time to celebrate those who have battled cancer, remember those lost and get inspired to fight back. Those who have shared the same experience find common ground, hope and healing at Relay. By participating, you have the power to continue the American Cancer Society’s progress toward a future where cancer doesn’t take the lives of our friends and family.

Sigma Pi Schoolyard Showdown!

Come relive your favorite childhood memories as you help us raise money for The American Cancer Society and Relay for Life!

The event will take place on Tuesday, November 9th beginning at 4:30 PM at Hume Field. Events will include knockout, tug of war, foursquare, and a hula hoop competition. Individual and team participation is encouraged, and a winning team and winning individual will be selected at the end of the event. $5 minimum donation per person.
Can’t wait to see you there!

The current brothers of the Zeta Zeta Chapter invite you, the Alumni to come to visit us in Gainesville for our Alumni Weekend. The event will be held the weekend of October 9th when the Gators will have a home game against the LSU Tigers on Saturday the 10th. Come join us for catching up on old times and getting to know the current membership. More info will be posted as it becomes available.
